Thanks for writing. 

CMMI has been implemented successfully in a large diversity of organizations i.e. from Startups to Large organizations.

CMMI does not imposes any restriction on the size of the organization. Implementation is strictly left to the organization as long as you comply with the process areas. As you learn more about the model, you will come to natural conclusions about how you should re-organize and what infrastructure you need to create.

Remember this - whatever you do should be should be for the benefit of your own organization.
